As much as you cannot wait for the days to get longer and warmer, your house cannot wait to get a spring clean.
The smell of freshly mowed grass, warmer and longer days, birds singing and tress blooming are some of signs that reminds us that the nature and the world around is waking up to spring. We like that, we look forward to it and we even try to speed up the whole process by ditching winter clothes away and wearing lighter shoes and jackets.
There is one more sign of fast approaching change of the season as well as of Easter celebration – cleaner houses. People open the windows to let the fresh air in, clean carpets and sometimes some even refurbish the place they live in.
Why not to join in? Put yourself in a spring mood by making the house ready for all that spring brings, including longer evenings with friends and family.

With the coming of spring we get a new lease of energy and even cleaning the house is not going to put us off or worsen our mood. So even if you need to give up one sunny morning or early afternoon to do just that, don’t worry. You’ll soon get it back.
For me spring clean equals cleaning the windows to a perfect shine, so I would start from that activity. After all, through clean windows everything looks much better, both on the inside and outside.
Next, move on to a thorough cleaning inside the house – wash the clothes, clean the cupboards and carpets. Let everything smell fresh and nice. Pull the things out and throw away any outdated food to make space for fresh vegetables and fruits.
At the end, if you have such an opportunity, make little changes around the house – put new pictures up on the wall, move furniture, and change few pieces on the shelf. To finish everything off you can pack the winter clothes, put them far away in the wardrobe and bring the light ones out. And then, let the spring begin!
