June the 17th is the day to celebrate the special father or father figure in your life. Day to day a father will provide, care for and cherish you and your little ones so this is the time to give something back. Whether he’s football mad, loves a round of golf or into sports cars, ACE has pulled together some breakfast in bed ideas that you and the children can surprise him with. When creating these delights in the kitchen, make sure ACE stain remover is on hand to ensure the day is all about him and not about stains!
Scrummy breakfast muffins
These bite-sized treats are the perfect way to create something that looks impressive but is actually very easy to make, just 10 minutes prep and half an hour in the oven (we won’t tell if you don’t!). This recipe from Joe Wicks uses egg and chorizo but if you’re feeling creative then why not add your favourite ingredients for a personal touch? A few alternative flavour ideas include mustard, caramelised onions or even baked beans. If you’re feeling fancy, display on a wooden chopping board and sprinkle with chives. Bon appetit!

Toast with love
Toast is a family favourite at the breakfast table, but Father’s Day is the perfect time to get creative with colours and shapes. A heart-shaped pastry cutter can be used to make patterns in the bread but be sure to protect little fingers from the cutter and touching hot toast! Another fun way to turn your average morning snack into a display of love is by decorating with yummy fruit and berries. The kids will love creating designs with the bright colours. Drizzle with honey and watch him tuck in!

Brunch-time brioche
Perfect for those with a big day ahead, this sausage and bacon brioche is a feast for the senses. You can’t go wrong with the classic flavour combo which is sure to be one of his all-time favourites. Once you have fried off the ingredients be sure to toast the bun and add dollops of HP sauce and ketchup – this is made to be messy!

Super stack
Creating fluffy, air-whipped pancakes can be made simple with assistance from your little helpers whisking the mixture! These ones are flavoured with banana for a tasty update on the classic pancake (plus lots of added health benefits). Here at ACE we believe there is nothing more appealing than the smell of freshly cooked batter in the morning and a pile of piping hot ‘cakes are sure to put a smile on his face. Add bacon or strawberries to yours and drizzle with generous amounts of maple syrup for an authentic American-style stack!

One for mum
Lots of us avoid poached eggs unless we’re lucky enough to enjoy breakfast / brunch at a café or restaurant, simply because they are a little bit tricky to master! We have done a little bit of research to make sure they are the new staple at your lazy weekend brunch. Marcus Wearing was taught the art of the egg by the breakfast chef at the Savoy. He says that whisking the water vigorously before adding the egg from a ramakin is the key – and don’t forget to add a dash of vinegar! Top a toasted English muffin with your perfectly poached eggs and hollandaise to create that classic British dish.
