Rainbow salad pots

Getting the kids to eat their five-a-day can be a difficult task, but these colourful rainbow salad pots will make any veg look so delicious, we’re sure they won’t say no! Ideal for a summer picnic, all you need for these salad pots is pasta shapes, green beans, tuna (or any other topping), mayonnaise, natural yoghurt, cherry tomatoes and peppers. Prepare these colourful creations in less than 10 minutes, then sit back, relax and watch the kids enjoy! Top tip: if they don’t like the veg in this recipe, mix and match to find their favourites.

Simple stir-fry

Need a quick, simple meal? You can never go wrong with stir-fry! Perfect for busy weeknights, this easy stir-fry will take barely any time to make. Chop up lots of veg (e.g. carrots, baby corn, broccoli, cabbage and courgettes), fry the ginger and garlic for one minute and then add the vegetables. Pour in soy sauce and cook for 2-3 minutes before adding prawns, salmon, chicken or tofu. Heat through and serve!

Tiny tacos

If your family like a pre-meal snack, you can’t go wrong with these mini tacos – and they’re perfect for when you’re entertaining! Simply pick up some frozen miniature phyllo tart shells from the shops, follow the instructions for making the filling, and bake in the oven. Quick, easy and delicious!

We know no summer meal is complete without an ice lolly and a refreshing drink to accompany. Don’t worry we’ve sorted that for you too!

Refreshing iced tea

Nothing beats cooling down on a hot day with a glass of cold iced tea – especially when you can whip up a jug in no time! Follow this recipe for refreshing, budget-friendly and delicious iced tea.

Lovely lollies

We love a homemade lolly to cool down after a meal, or eat as a snack, on a warm summer’s day. These strawberry yoghurt ice lollies dipped in white chocolate are delicious! Combine the yoghurt with fresh strawberries (or any fruit you fancy) and caster sugar, then pop the mixture in ice lolly moulds. Once frozen, dip each lolly in white chocolate, leave to set… and enjoy!
