Back To School: Things to think about

24/08/2018 - Parenting

The beginning of September only means one thing for the majority of us – back to school time. The past couple of months have probably been an exhausting whirlwind of play dates, days in the park and the classic ‘Mummy I’m bored!’, but now all of that is coming to an end it’s a little bit sad! To make the back to school organisation a little less stressful, ACE has put together a few things to think about over the next couple of weeks. Don’t forget to use your ACE to keep those uniforms the colour they’re meant to be!

  1. Morning organisation – don’t be late for learning.

Is there anything more stressful about getting the kids back to school than that first morning? Try to save time and stress by getting packed lunches, school bags and uniforms ready the night before – this will mean all you need to worry about is getting them out of bed, dressed and fed on the day. Get the kids involved with filling out this morning planner, so that they’re organised and off to school on time and ready to learn.

  1. Lunchbox ideas.

Exciting packed lunches can be hard to come up with, especially when their usual sandwich is so easy and you know it’s a winner! Your packed lunches will be the talk of the playground with these colourful, creative and delicious recipes. Meals such as chicken taco salad and BLT pasta will make sure that your child is getting all the nutrients they need so that they can excel in the classroom, and for all those sweet-toothed children there are yummy treat ideas as well.

  1. Widen their social circle with after-school clubs.

From gaining confidence and meeting new people to thinking of creative ways to tackle homework – there are many benefits your child can gain from joining in with local after school clubs. At the end of the day, you can wash away the stains, without washing their memories of a fun evening at after school club, with the help of ACE. To find your local after school clubs, NetMums has a useful search tool that will list all the ones in your area.

  1. Keep those school shirts white.

With the price of kitting your child out for school rising by 10% upon last year, it’s more important than ever to take care of the uniform we buy, and ACE can do just that. We have pulled out a video tutorial giving you an easy to follow guide on how to keep those white shirts white – no need to worry about grey shirts or stains when you have ACE for Whites. We also can’t forget about those colourful school jumpers can we? ACE for Colours will keep those bright and classroom ready!
